About this campaign
I adopted Sid as a puppy in December 2020 during one of the darkest times of my life. He became my soul dog - the reason I kept going. Now he's the CEO of my small business, Sid & Marty's Longevity Lab a dog food topper. He lives with his brother Marty (also a rescue) and brings joy to everyone he meets.
In early January, Sid developed severe congestion. By late January, a large mass appeared on his nose overnight. We're treating what appears to be a deep sinus abscess. He's been on antibiotics for 16 days and steroids for 9 days. Tests ruled out cancer, but he needs extended treatment and possibly surgery. We're being treated at Companion Animal Hospital in Groton, CT by Dr. Cynthia Brown.
Sid saved my life in 2020 when I survived a suicide attempt. He gives the best hugs, thinks he's a lap dog at 80 pounds, and has the gentlest soul. He loves his brother Marty, greeting customers at our longevity business, and being my constant shadow. He's only 5 - we should have so many more years together.
I work as a server/bartender while building my small business. I've already spent over $1,700 on biopsies and treatment. With extended antibiotics and possible surgery ahead, I need help covering the remaining $2,000+ in vet bills to get Sid healthy again.
