About this campaign
My beloved dog, Siena, came into my life almost seven years ago. I had gone to the SPCA to adopt a lifelong companion. Of hundreds of dogs, there she was scrunched up against the wire gate just staring at me with those dark brown eyes. I knew immediately she was the one. Siena had been found two weeks prior to her adoption, wondering around the neighborhood. She has a wonderful home.
Siena has been diagnosed by Banfield Pet Hospital with a 2 cm cyst that needs to be removed. It’s not cancerous but will cause problems in the future. All appropriate tests and exams have been completed as well as a course of treatment of Amoxicillin and Prednisone which had no effect.
Siena has a sweet temperament. The only problem with her is that she likes all dogs and all people. She loves her stick stick chew toy that she carries into our bed everynight This companion is a born hunter. As a coonhound she loves chasing squirrels. A natural talent, she sits up for all treats after pawing me with her left leg….something I never taught her….she just did from day one.
Donations toward her surgery will ensure a wonderful quality of life for her as well as myself.. As a 72 year old senior, pretty much on a fixed income, I’d give up my meds if it would mean her recovery. Living alone as I do, Siena is my soulmate with many good years ahead.
