I found Sierra through a Facebook post. Her pic was like one of those paintings where the eyes seem to follow you -- every time I tried to scroll past it, her eyes caught me. I didn't think I was ready to bring a new cat into my life after losing my last one, but I was moved by Sierra's story. She badly needed a calm, safe new home. I gave her one, and we've been happy together for 10 years.

My sweet girl is an old lady now, being treated for hyperthyroidism, kidney disease and arthritis. She's in good shape and good spirits despite all that! Sierra is used to being doted on so she can be a little demanding, but I wouldn't have it any other way. We're often together as I work from home -- she's on my desk in one of her heated kitty beds curled up between my arms as I write this. She sleeps next to my pillow at night. I love her so much and want to give her every chance to live the longest life possible and be happy and comfortable.
