Silas is a 4 year old Cane Corso in Palm Bay, FL, who needs $2,000 for Oral Surgery.

Silas is my 4 year old Cane Corso. He is my 2nd, him and his “sister” Siena whom you see in several pictures, are inseparable. This boy is perfection in a dog! I know everyone says that, but I promise anyone who meets him would agree. He is a gentle giant who just wants to be around sister and mom at all times. I’ve had him since he was 8 weeks old and this boy has been such a healthy boy

Earlier this week I noticed a foul smell coming from my Silas, so as a long time dog groomer this particular smell screamed “MOUTH”! So I grabbed some gloves and took a look. I was shocked to see part of his gum decaying near his molar. Got him right to his normal vet and based on imaging they referred us to Animal Specialty and Emergency Center for better idea how to proceed.

As stated, he adores his sister, and sometimes has friends come stay while their parents travel. From Oso and Diego the teeny yorkies, to Diesel and Diamond the Doberman and Jack Russel! His favorite toy is ropes, he loves to play tugs, or fetch, or even just prance around the yard majestically holding his rope high with pride.

Unfortunately he will need a small portion of his jaw removed, and this surgery is going to cost up to another $8,000 on top of what I’m out already. The vet says quality looks great so I want to fight for this precious boy with this unexpected surgery
