Silvie Star is a 1 year old Labrador Retriever in Butler, KY, who needs $2,000 for Thoracotomy.

Silvie Star is truly a bright light in this dark world we live in. She has a tremendous amount of energy, not to mention personality. For those of you who have never met Silvie… You’re missing out! Just her attitude & facial expressions are enough to make you laugh daily. She gives as much love and affection as she demands. She absolutely loves to play & fetch is her favorite game.

Silvie was rushed to the ER on Tues. During abdomen X-rays it was observed she had a spontaneous pneumothorax (leaking of air into her lungs). No vomiting or trauma to explain this. The CT results do indicate there is something in her left medial lung lobe. She is having that lobe removed. We expect biopsy/culture results next week from Greater Cincinnati Veterinary Specialist in Wilder, KY

Silvie is afraid of her own shadow…literally. She has tons of energy and is always looking for anyone who will play fetch with her. She is very affectionate but especially so when she is tired.

This was such an unexpected financial expense. Due to job changes we’re also trying to manage our own healthcare expenses without health insurance. Silvie has been a blessing to me as I’ve also recently battled some health ailments & I want to do the same her.
