Silvio is a 8-month-old Burmese Cat in Albion , CA, who needs $1,900 for Complex Cleft Palate repair.

It all started when a women on Facebook posted a request for someone to adopt a kitten. I reached out and said yes. On September 15, I met with Chelsea and drove our new kitten home. In the car I realized what have I done! We already had 4 cats, Rusty 14, Bailey 12 Tillie 3 and Erly 2 years. . Shortly after we got him we noticed his hair started to turn silver and that’s why we call him Silvio!

Silvio was so tiny when we first got him . He weighed alittle over 200 grams, less than 1/2 lb. We bottle fed him and he slept in his soft carrier at our bedside. Our cats were very curious and worried me at first because he looked like something they may be Interested in killing. Slowly they realized he was here to stay and were tolerant. Today Silvio loves all the cats but loves Rusty the most!

We love black kitties. Tiny was black and so is Tillie. When we first got Silvio he started to turn from black to silver that’s how we came up with the name Silvio. But then his silver started to fade.
He loves running on cat wheel and any box available. We love it when he puts his ears back then looks like “toothless the dragon “. I shared a photo of just that. Silvio completes our family!

Around 5-6 weeks old Silvio developed an respiratory infection. He was pretty sick. He recovered but every time he ate he would cough, choke sneeze food out of his nose. After several more illnesses, many trips to vet and specialist he was diagnosed with soft cleft palate. He is now scheduled for surgery at UC Davis Veterinary clinic, California Dr. Elias Wolfs.

Rusty had Hyperthyroidism and Bailey has IBD. Tiny who passed last year suffered from Renal disease and chronic pancreatitis which took us to the vet every month for nearly 2 years before he died. We’d love to give Silvio the life he deserves!
