Simba is a 8 year old Mix-Breed in Highlands, NJ, who needs $8,000 for Colectomy due to Megacolon.

Simba rescued us from Catsbury Park in Asbury Park, NJ on 2/23/19. Simba was rescued from a hoarding situation & needed a home. He was instinctively a great fit for our other rescue, they became instant brothers. They love each other so much. Simba is very sweet and affectionate. He visits my neighbor in our condo complex everyday by scratching at her door. He loves to visit with the mailman too!

Simba has Mega Colon, a disease that requires two medications twice a day. It causes chronic constipation, years of visits to the vet and hospital for ‘cleaning out’ he could handle it with proper care for awhile but it became to much for him and we reached the point of surgery to remove his colon. He can live a great life after this surgery. He is a prime candidate. Without it he will not survive

Simba is like a little puppy, he followed me from room to room and must sleep right against me. He loves everyone and everyone loves him. He is kind and gentle with children too

Years of financially getting through vets, hospitals, medications and prescription foods has taken its toll. We have taken out credit cards with interest free rates and continue to pay them off. He did not qualify for pet ins due to this was deemed a pre existing condition.
