One evening, with no thoughts of a cat, we were leaving to go to 7/11 for a pizza. We noticed an orange cat below our porch staring at us. We said “hi baby!” And he meowed and jumped up to see what we were all about. We noticed he had 4-5 huge ticks on his neck but he otherwise seemed healthy. In my town, there are a lot of dumped kitties. I fell in love with him instantly and knew I needed him.

As I got closer with kitty, I noticed there is something going on with his eyes. I’m not sure if maybe he has an eye infection or what’s going on but since I don’t know his background, I want to get him fully tested for any illness/disease, get a bloodwork panel, get him vaccinated, and do all the things to ensure he’s healthy so I can take him in and have one less cat off the streets.

As a cat who has probably been living outside for who knows how long, he’s extremely sweet and loving. He loves attention and follows us everywhere. He likes to talk. We gave him a bath and he was the easiest cat ever to give a bath to, I was shocked.

I work as a government contractor and travel an hour while I am actively searching for a closer job as I make a lower hourly wage. My boyfriend works full time but pays rent, and his own personal bills along with the house bills. I have also been hospitalized a couple times.
