About this campaign
At 2 months old, Simon was found in a Taco Bell dumpster in Illinois. I was working at a mall, and a woman brought him in looking for someone who could take him home. Every shelter she could find, had been filled up with kittens. I was in a really rough place mentally, and I couldn’t stand the thought of baby Simon all alone. I brought him home with me, and he’s been my baby ever since!
Simon has a sister, Cleo. They’re best friends! They spend most of the day, lounging around together. Both are playful and friendly, and absolutely love being cuddled. Simon can even walk on a leash! They love watching squirrels from the bedroom window, and playing with their countless toys kept in the sunroom.
Simon got his name for his incredible ability to make the most judgmental facial expressions. He also is incredibly obsessed with Taco Bell and any kind of pizza. Even just bringing it into the house, results in him begging for bites (which he never gets of course). He also has a huge love for cuddling in the morning when I wake up. He’s a sweetheart!
About a month ago (in September), Simon had his first urinary blockage. It’s apparently really common in male cats, but can be fatal if not treated soon enough. He was treated immediately, and soon recovered and was back to himself. Fast forward to October 30th. The blockage was back. He was in pain, and needed medical attention ASAP. He’s been at the vet since then, but is okay now.
Simon’s initial bill was $700, and I’d been making partial payments to pay it off. His new bill was added directly on to his old one though, and now it’s just over $1000. Without payments, he will remain boarded at the vet until I can afford to pay his way out.
