About this campaign

I adopted Simon after losing my other emotional support animal just before the pandemic. I saw his face and knew he was the right kitty for us. He is sweet and funny and has been amazing for my PTSD. He is well loved by a little girl and another kitty, and a dog. He is extremely well loved by everyone who meets him.

Simon loves playing with our other cat Nikki and with every dog that visits with our friends. He loves to sit on my guests laps because he was just born to comfort people. Simon has been known to sit closer and closer to a dog until they become his friends. He just loves everyone and everything. I don't know what we'd do without him.

I was laid off in the pandemic and took most of the year to get employed again. I am a single mother with no child support so when I paid $3500 for his initial bill it was every dime I had and a loan. This has put me in a super tight situation.

Simon suffered a bladder blockage this weekend and I took him the Veterinary Emergency Group in Denver. This can be fatal for cats. He has started treatment but to keep it going I'll need to pay more. I also honestly could not afford the money I spent to take care of him this weekend but I knew I had to try to save him.

Simon is hilarious. He makes a lot of weird meows and is extremely talkative. As you can see in the video with my daughter. I have had to learn his language. He meows in a way that sounds like a question when he is asking for permission to do things like come into my room while I'm working or hop into my lap if he thinks I'm busy.
