Simon needs help. He used to be my son's dog whom I inherited as he was separating from his girlfriend and had no place to care for him. However, Simon and I beame attached. He's been with me for about 7+ years now. He's so attached to me I'm keeping him and my son comes visits. I know Simon is happy here, it's his home. Until this time I have been able to care for him. Help!!

He sleeps on on floor at end of my bed and follows me everywhere. I live alone with 2dogs and 2cats. I seem to have acquired a little family of pets. One cat, Lilly, was my mother's who passed away couple years ago and a female Chihuahua, Lucy, from a neighbor who was in a fatal crash. She showed up in snow at my door late night . She and Simon are close. And I have outside cat,Beauty.

Simon gets along with all of my other pets. He's so big at 105lbs, a gentle sweet dog. He watches out for us and I feel safer, living alone in the woods. He's chased off a bear, two skunks
and racoon. That's the only time he gets riled up. We haves mountain Lions others too. He is little wary of the skunks now after being sprayed twice in one week.

He has heartworms and was on preventive meds. Also, he has allergies to fleas which he gets shot for itching. His ear is infected and needs drained because he must have hit it shaking his head and it filled with fluid He needs the ear drained before it gets worse and will have to have surgery, which costs more and could have permanent damage. He is still full of life and also not well

I just got back working part time, after couple years. COVID didn't make it easy. I'm a caregiver. About that time my mom, moved in with me on hospice and I care for her also another person I cared for, they both died within two weeks of each other and COVID 19 began.
