When we first looked at Simon, it was hard to discern what kind of animal he was. His fur was so matted, dirty, and infected.

Even more heartbreaking, Simon is a senior; instead of living his golden years being treasured, he was neglected.

Beneath the grime, Simon also had untreated dry eye and severely rotten, painful teeth that made him sensitive to touch," Amy H., with Ramapo Bergen Animal Refuge, tells Waggle.

Sadly, Simon's teeth are in such terrible condition that he needs all of them removed.

The nonprofit group saved him, and with your generosity, they can fix him up and give him a new life.

"Our work to rescue and care for animals who suffer from abuse, neglect, hunger, and abandonment can be devastating and exhausting.
