Sissy is a 1 year old English Mastiff in Carlisle, PA, who needs $1,500 for Vulvoplasty Surgery.

Meet Sissy! She is a year and a half old 3/4 English Mastiff 1/4 Saint Bernard. She was brought into our home to “soothe” broken hearts over the loss of our beloved 11 yr old girl, Remi. She currently shares her humans with her brother, Gunner (6yr) English mastiff/ Doberman mix. She is the prefect fit for our home of 4 children as she “mothers” the youngest and has grown to be protective of him.

Sissy, unfortunately, has been dealing with a recessed vulva. We had high hopes of her body correcting itself after her first heat cycle but that was not the case. She was put on antibiotics due to reoccurring UTI’s. The antibiotics work great but are not a permanent fix. Boiling Springs Animal Hospital would like to run extensive tests and may ultimately require surgery as an end result.

Sissy embraces her name well. She trots out into the yard and announces to the neighborhood that, hey! I’m out here! Any - welcome outside friend! -bark responses and she bolts to the porch as if she were a 10lb dog who just saw a hawk. She LOVES playing with her giant red jolly ball, especially when the kids join in. When she comes inside she sits pretty for her “ good girl” treats.

Its so heartbreaking to have to diaper such a great dog who is fully potty trained and doesn’t understand why she needs such things confining her rear end. Nor her butt being wiped after every potty. Her quality of life, mood, activity, etc will all boost majorly!
