About this campaign
Sissy and I rescued each other 8 yrs ago and have not spent one night apart since. She has given me a purpose since both of my adult children have tragically passed in the last 6 yrs. If I didn't have her to comfort me, I wouldn't have made it. I live alone with Sissy and no other pets. I found her at a shelter and it was love at first sight.
Sissy sleeps with me burrowed under her blanket and keeps my toes warm at night. She loves routine. Out in the morning then in for her snack. We play for a bit, she loves peek a boo under her blanket, then she is down for nap. She is very alert about her surroundings and in tune to my emotions, poor baby lol. She is the favorite dog here where I live. They bring her treats, and buy her sweaters.
Sissy has a boy friend named Sparky who belongs to another neighbor. They play and share/steal each others treats. She has facial expressions too. I can tell when she is afraid, mad, sad, and happy. She makes me smile all day long because she is such a happy dog.
Two years ago I noticed a round, fatty area on her abdomen. I took her to her vet and he said to bring her back if it bothers her or changes in size. Well it has grown bigger and he said she should have surgery to remove it. He called it a lipoma and is very concerned about it.He is
I am on a fixed income, disability, and I don't have the extra $600 that he quoted me for this surgery. She is all I have and the thought of losing her is absolutely devastating to me. I would be so happy if I could get her the help she needs.
