About this campaign
I adopted Sissy when she was 3 years old.. It was love at first sight. I couldn’t understand how someone could sell a pup that they had raised for 3 years, but it all worked out for the best because Sissy would always have a forever home with me. Sissy along with her blue heeler, Duck, live with me and our 3 kitties. I love them all as if they were my children.
Sissy loves to go hiking and out for walks. As a matter of fact we were hiking when this recent tragedy happened. Sissy doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and loves everybody. As well as raising her own puppies, she has raised kittens, baby raccoons and puppies that belonged to other mommas. You could say that she is Queen of our household.
I have not received check since March 16th due to the covid 19 pandemic. I have PTSD and anxiety. She has been my emotional support animal , my teacher, my confidant, but most of all my friend. I am trying to be as good a friend to her as she has been to me.
Sissy was accidentally run over by a car while I was hiking. This happened March 22. She has a crushed pelvis and a dislocated hip. Dr. Miller from the Manchester Veterinarian office in Manchester, Iowa said she will be ok but she needs to have surgery which will cost around a thousand dollars. Duck has been beside himself since the accident and is now very protective of Sissy.
The things that make me love Sissy is her kindness to everybody -2-legged and 4-legged. Her and my blue heeler , Duck are very close and are never far from each other. They sleep together with me at night. Duck has been devastated since this has happened and is so worried about Sissy. The thing that amazes me about Sissy is the way she looks into my eyes as if she’s in love.
