Skipper is a 14-year-old Mixed Border Collie & Sheltie in Stillwater, MN, who needs $4,700 for Meningitis & Pancreas Infection.

Skipper is a rescue dog. He’s been a family member for such a long time, and if you’ve wondered - he’s a mix of Border Collie and Sheltie. We found him in 2011, he was walking on the side of the road in a remote area. We tried to find his owners but he had no tag nor chip which made it impossible so we took him home while continuing the search.

Everyone fall in love with Skippy, such an easy going, loving, happy dog. Family, friends, strangers - he makes everybody smile and want to reach out and pet him. He brings joy and love everywhere he goes, except for other dogs, he DOES NOT like most of them, I guess he does not like the competition. He loves sleeping with his human siblings, he loves playing in the yard and going for walks.

Unfortunately I’m unemployed at the moment, I’m looking for a job but with the COVID-19 virus it’s challenging. We need your help to save Skippy, this incredible dog gave so much to so many, now it’s our turn :-(

Skipper has been diagnosed with Meningitis, an infection that causes an inflammation of the brain and the spinal cord membranes. He was throwing up, developed fever, the Vet wasn’t sure about what was the issue, we all thought he ate something that caused the fever and later found out that his pancreas was enlarged as well. It took two more days and a CT to find out it was Meningitis.

Skippy loves making humans happy! Anyone that would’ve reach out to him he would’ve turned to lick their faces and greet them. We traveled all over with him, he loves road trips, meeting new people, new adventures and all new places to sniff :-) Mostly he enjoys our company, hugs, kisses and lots of our love and attention.
