About this campaign

At just 8 weeks old, Skittle should be chasing toys and curling up for long kitten naps. Instead, she’s fighting for her sight—and her life. A kindhearted stranger found her filthy, crawling with fleas, and heartbreakingly thin. She weighed just 0.8 pounds—so small you could feel every vertebra in her spine.

Her eyes were shockingly swollen, infected, and filled with pus within moments of cleaning. The vet says there’s a 99% chance she will be completely blind. Castaway Critters is clinging to the slim hope that one eye can be saved, but it’s unlikely.

Skittle will almost certainly need surgery to remove both damaged eyes, with a projected cost of $2,000. Skittle purrs nonstop and makes biscuits with her tiny paws—proof of the gentle, grateful spirit inside her fragile and abused body.

💛 Your donation can give Skittle the surgery and care she needs to grow strong, safe, and loved. Every dollar is a step toward her healing and a life where blindness won’t hold her back.
