Sky is a 6-year-old Pitbull in Wappingers Falls, NY, who needs $2,000 for Splenectomy.

I adopted Sky when I was 19 years old and going through a dark time in my life. Throughout the 6 years , Sky has served as an emotional support dog to lara helping her with her depression and anxiety. She literally means everything to me. Sky is a blue nose pit and that’s how I came up with the name Sky .. blue like the sky.

Sky is truly like no other animal. She is sweet, silly, loving and gentle. She is my shadow I cannot go anywhere in the house without her following me even the bathroom! She sleeps in my bed with me but also has two of her own beds that she sleeps in during the day. She is a huge kisser she loves giving out kisses to everyone in the house. I have always lived check for check and never had a savings. I just graduated from college last year I am in major credit card debt and student loan debt while still paying my bills I am also trying to help my parents pay theirs as well because my mother is very sick.

On April 29th, 2021 Sky had to get an emergency splenectomy due to a tumor that ruptured on her spleen. The following week we found out that the tumor is a cancer called Hemangiosarcoma. Because this is such a deadly disease Sky needs chemotherapy treatment ASAP in order for her to survive. There is much hope that she will make it if she gets treated. Sky is so special because she is just the absolute sweetest and biggest baby. She cries when she’s hungry, she cries when it’s time to use the bathroom and she cries when you stop petting her. She makes me laugh when we play together with her toys. She is so much fun she runs in circles round and round and loves to play tug of war with me
