Skye is a 3-year-old Pitbull mix in Columbia, MO, who needs $1,500 for surgery to remove a stomach mass.

I am from Vietnam and came to the U.S. by myself and met my husband here. He figured out I am lonely because I have no family here; therefore, he decided to get Skye (our dog) from his friend for me as a family member (the best gift) to share things, hang out, and always be there with me. She is 3 years old now since we got her. We picked Skye name because it Scottish origin means "a gift of God"

Skye sleeps with me on the bed. Since my husband and I are both still in school and he lives far away from me, I only have her as my best friend, my baby (I have no friend here in the U.S). Sometimes she sleeps on her own bed (her favorite pink bed). She loves being outside, eating grass (weird), walking, and playing fetch. She loves children and is really friendly with them.

She loves playing with other dogs. Her favorite toy is the ball with treats in it, and she always tries to get the treat out, which keeps her being active all the time. She does not like to be lonely (like me). She sleeps exactly like me, rolling all the body like a ball (how weird). She loves playing hide and seeks with me. When I am sad, she will come by my side and be there with me.

She has a big mass, free fluid, blood leaking in her stomach, which makes her stomach looks big. She is in Pet Center Ltd., Columbia, Missouri now for ultrasound and blood work. She needs surgery, and the doctor is doing ultrasound and blood work to figure ouif not, she will die any minute; however, we are still students and I have no family here; therefore, it is really hard for me to afford it.

She is the only friend, the only family I have in the U.S. She has been through the hardest time, stressful, environment and culture shocks with me. I will be grateful if she can stay and live with me longer so that I can pay her for what she has done.
