Skylar is a 7-year-old Husky/German Shepherd in La Marque, TX, who needs $2,000 for amputation.

This is Skylar, my best friend, she was given to me as a gift and it was love at first sight. I love this dog with everything in me and there is not a day that goes by that I don’t think about my Skylar. She love taking pictures and being a lazy girl. This is the best dog I’ve ever had. She knows when I’m sad or upset and does everything she can to cheer me up!

She sleeps on the bed with me of course which means I had to get a king size bed so she has her own space. She loves going to the dog park and playing with the other dogs. When she’s not at the park she is at home either sleeping or asking for kisses and cuddles from me or anyone else is the home, even the cats.

This is unexpected and I am on a tight budget. My dog is my best friend and I love her with everything I’ve got. She has helped me emotionally through thick and thin and I just want her to get better and healthy.

So unfortunately Skylar was hit by a car near my home. She had gotten out and we were trying to get her back home. She has gone to a 24/7 pet hospital and they have done everything the can but the only option left is to amputate her leg. We are sad and hate that it has come to this but it’s our only option.

She loves hanging out with her sister Lucy and destroying all of her stuffed animals. She also makes me laugh when she get the zoomies or when she’s sunbathing out in the sun. I love when does her cool tricks and eats her treats and snacks. I love when she is caring and sleeps and cuddles with the kittens.
