My Sly Girl jumped into my arms the first time we met at a Hillcrest pet store. I knew she was the one! We lived in a studio apt. for 10 yrs. the happiest of our lives. Alas, we are now homeless, living in a shelter down town. (San Diego). Sly Girl is having a really hard time adjusting to life here. She doesn’t deserve this, it breaks my heart.

Sly sleeps on my bed with me. She’s my protector, therefore, never lets anyone close to me. She’s all bark & no bite, with only a handful of teeth. Dad died 3 yrs ago. It’s been hard for us, with no support, but we’re trudging along, her & I. She’s my best friend and more loyal than anyone I know! !

I only receive disability, & at the moment, we’re homeless. It would mean Sly Girl being happy again! She’s so depressed and miserable. She’s not the same dog! She’s in so much pain, I hate to put her down, but if this doesn’t work, I may have to. Please help me save her...

First, Sly needs an office visit with x-rays for her legs. She is really limping, and can’t walk on the right leg. That’s urgent. Then she has the tooth infection, which is the first surgery. Then the 2nd surgery is for her knee dysplasia. Another $4,000. She also has pain meds and other vitamins, etc. that I simply can’t afford, being homeless and on disability.
