Smokey is a 9-year-old Staffordshire Terrier in Lake Forest , CA, who needs $1,470 for mass removal.

Smokey came into my life as my daughter’s adopted dog. She adopted Smokey as a year old from an adoption event. She was a special adoption due to her being abandoned and her breed only. Smokey is a great dog. She loves her people family and is a sweet and cuddly dog. She likes to sit on your lap! Due to the Covid crisis, Smokey is currently living with me.

Smokey loves to go on walks , we usually take her to the park for a long walk. She likes to lay on the couch and watch TV with me. She’s been a good companion during the Covid lockdown! Smokey enjoys her stuffed animal 🧸 toys and is careful not to chew them! I have a poodle and a small terrier who also live with Smokey. They see each other during the day.

I am living on a fixed income and really am struggling with this. I carry insurance for my smaller dogs 🐶 but Smokey doesn’t have any. I am praying 🙏 that we can come up with the money soon for her surgery as it’s urgent. She’s such a sweetheart and deserves a healthy life.

Smokey has had a mast cell tumor in the past, 3 years ago, that had to be removed. Recently I took her to the vet for allergies and they told me that the lump on her hind leg is cancer. And she also has other lumps that need removal. The vet said that we need to get this done soon because of the amount of tissue that they have to remove. So I’m really trying to get the funding soon.

Smokey is a great dog. She is a big ham when it comes to going to the vets office. I was worried that she would be nervous about her vet visit but she immediately was wagging her tail and and walking with her little wiggle! The office staff said that she was trying to lick them in the face. Smokey is such a cutie 🥰
