About this campaign

Smokey was 8 weeks old and in a terrible environment. I was not planning on getting a kitten but my heart poured out for him. He was covered in fleas had ear mites and anemia. He was starving to death. I took him in and soon after my previous rescue who was a service animal passed away. Smokey took his place and became my service animal. He fell and broke his leg. I need help desperately.

Smokey became my therapy animal after my other service cat passed away at 17 yrs. old I did not plan on getting Smokey at the time but he needed me as much as I needed him. I believe God sent him to me knowing my other cat was going to go over the rainbow bridge. I'm on disability and can not afford the vet at the moment. I desperately need help to save his life.

I am on disability for mental and physical reasons. I have no money at the moment. I managed to get him his first and second shots as a kitten and then neuter him. He is 7 months old and it took all my savings to get him healthy. Now he needs your help. Please donate.

I need to take Smokey to Broadway Veterinary Clinic in Bangor, Maine as soon as possible to save his leg. I don't want to have to change his name to tripod. It would cost more to remove his leg then to fix it right now. He is in a lot of pain and I wish I could help him the way he helps me with my mental and physical disability

Smokey is a real acrobat. He is very smart and has been through a lot of training to be a therapy/ service animal. He is already a wonderful cat that makes me laugh and smile. He is only 7 months old but one would think he is much older. He plays and makes me feel young again. No matter what happens to his leg he is mine for life.
