My dad saved Smokey from getting hit by a car on September 10, 2025. We suspect he wandered away from his mother and when we got him ge had a bit of an eye infection. He now lives with me and my family and three dogs and a few pups.

Smokey was bitten and shaken by one of the dogs. After that he started having symptoms of a heart attack; rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, and loss of motor function. We then reached out to many online vets and got resources from one from chewy. She told us about an open vet near by and we called them and got reffered to other vets. The examination would cost on the low end 60 dollars.

Smokey is so special to us because from the moment he was rescued he had so much personality. He was immediately playful. Even though when we first got him he had limited vision due to his eye infection he would still play around. It breaks our heart to see our baby not move around and play like you used to. We just want him to be back to his old self.

We have always had finical problems. Growing up in a place shackled by poverty we have always had to try our best to save every penny we have. We have been homeless and just got a house and have been figting to stay stable. We need money for smokey but also for utilities.
