About this campaign

Smokey is one of four cats that a mother cat brought to my door four to five years ago. Just last month I lost one of her siblings to FIP, a rare and terminal disease cats get. The cost of preliminary work alone maxed out my only source of credit and I can't afford another bill. Recently, Smokey has been throwing up every day. She still seems to have an appetite, but can't keep her food down.

I live alone and my cats are like my kids. They keep me busy and I keep them happy. It nearly broke me to put down one of them last month, and I was a nervous wreck. Now, my little Smokey is vomiting every day and I can't help her. I can't afford another vet bill and I can't stand to see her suffer.

Smokey is the runt of the litter. She is spunky and doesn't allow the others to get the best of her. I admire her attitude. She is jittery at times and tends to play it safe when company comes through the door. Once they have settled in, she comes out to say hey. She is the bravest of the bunch and I can count on her to break the ice with company.

All of my cats came from the same litter and required medical attention when they were several weeks old. They had gummed up eyes and snotty noses. It took several weeks for them to get healthy. They are all indoor cats because I don't want to expose them to the outside world. My local vet is Animal Clinic of Woodruff and they had to put down Smokey's sister last month. Smokey is vomiting daily.

I am on a fixed income. I am disabled and only draw Social Security income. I draw $2100 each month and my house payment is $500 each month. I maxed out my Care Credit card last month with my terminal cat. I can't stand the thought of my cat suffering.
