Smudge is a 2-year-old Domestic Shorthair Cat in Anderson, IN, who needs $1,162 for Diagnostics and Treatment of Urinary Tract Blockage.

Smudge came to me in December of 2022 when life was crumbling around me. He followed me from outside the store into my car without needing me to guide him. I remember him jumping into the car next to me and curling up in the passenger seat, talking the whole way home. He was so small and thin, but had such character and love to offer to someone in need.

His favorite spots are the huge window in my living room or in his custom made cathouse outside the window of my office. He spends most of his day talking to me, and when I say talking I mean TALKING. He has always been very playful and cuddly, coming to sit on my lap or watch me cook. When he is not with me, he is sitting with my son, curled up in his arms or on his lap just purring.

Smudge has a heart of gold. I was very sick last year and he never left my side. I work from home and he has gotten to know my coworkers while on meetings as he is always saying "Hi" and wanting to be part of the action. He bonded with my son very quickly and the two are thick as thieves with Smudge acting as his shadow most of the time.

1/30/2024 We noticed that Smudge had thrown up, by 1/31/2024 we noticed that he was acting strange and had slinked off to stay by himself, something that is not usual. By 2/1/2024 we were rushing 30 mins away to a emergency vet, VetCheck they diagnosed him as best they could with a possible urinary block, but the procedure would be over 1k and we do not have that and do not qualify for carecredit.

I WFH as a 1099 and since this happened on the 1st when all bills are due, my funds are lacking. We do not qualify for carecredit, scratchpay and so on. Having Smudge back to his normal talkative self is of the utmost importance as I cannot imagine my life without him.
