Smudge is a 10-year-old Chihuahua in Maitland , FL, who needs $1,500 for Hospitalization for GI Bleed.

Smudge IS MY SON, we're inseperablrle. It's just me and him relying on each other
He's been ill for 2 yrs, the vets are unable to find a diagnosis

At his worst, going back and forth to vets daily for months
I had 2 strokes. I still refused to leave his side. I promised I'd protect and never give up on him. His love has no conditions, neither does mine.
He's admitted in the ICU tonight. Please !

As I'm a disabled veteran, I have the privilege to be with him every moment of the day, and there isn't a minute we aren't together. Unless he is admitted, which hurts me more than you will ever know. Like tonight, the place is empty and lonely without my boy here.
The hardest part is to watch him daily, and see the decline as it happens in real time, each flare up he has

Smudge is a Chihuahua, they have a reputation. He is the most loving Chihuahua you'll ever meet, as many do.
I carry him in my arms everywhere we go, he just lays on his back like a baby, as strangers all come up to say hi. He's the best friend anyone could hope for.
Our bond is so close, he let's me know what he wants without saying a word. He knows he can count on his

Smudge is in the ICU for bleeding in his stool.
I hope this campaign will get him through this acute period, to allow for further testing to find the underlying root cause before its too late. I can never achieve the costlier tests as I'm fighting daily just to pay to treat his urgent needs and illnesses, leaving no financial room for the diagnostics required

As stated, I'm a disabled veteran w/ TBI and 2 strokes, last yr. I can solely rely on VA disability.
Just since the beginning of May ['23] his bills have totaled $3600
This admission will be another $2k. I've sold/pawned everything of value for his care
