About this campaign
Snoopy came into my life in 2016. I adopted him when I was 21 years old and he was 1 and a half. I am now 28 and he is 8. Snoopy is my soul dog and has been with me for most of my 20’s which is really special. He lives with me and my husband and our second dog, Tucker. Tucker is 4 years old and was adopted a year ago. Snoopy and Tucker are completely bonded and are best friends.
Snoopy loves to go for long walks or run at the dog park or dog beach. He is a greyhound so he absolutely loves to run and wrestle with Tucker. I work from home and he loves to be by my side all day and sometimes even nap in the chair in my office. Everyone in my life loves Snoopy or “Snoop dog” and he also loves to meet new dog friends.
It’s really hard to put into words how special Snoopy is. I think the way he looks is so unique and we often get stopped on our walks because of how different he is. He makes me laugh everyday when he gets treats. We call them good boy treats and he takes about 3-4 minutes to jump around the treat and play with it before he eats it. He just loves life and is so happy each day.
About 1 month ago Snoopy was diagnosed with B-Cell Lymphoma. This is a very aggressive cancer in dogs and without treatment most dogs live for 1-2 months after diagnosis. With this cancer being so aggressive, we were very lucky to find an oncologist in Arizona who got him an appointment right away. He is on a chemotherapy treatment plan, which is very successful in helping dogs reach remission.
His diagnosis was completely unexpected and the chemotherapy is 25 weeks long which is extremely expensive. But, with treatment we buy him more time and will get him into remission, which will extend his life.
