About this campaign

My daughter was very good with pets (dogs mostly) and started asking for a dog at a very young age. To familiarize her with pets, we took her to places to spend time with them. We ended up going to a family, that had puppies, it was supposed to be "meet & greet" but we fell in love with the puppy hopelessly. 2 weeks later, the soft, fluffy yellow lab " Snow" came home to complete our family.

Snow loved long walks and play with our friends' dogs. In July 2023, he started showing disinterest in food (first time in 4 years), being lethargic. We took him to the vet to run some tests. Initial results indicated elevated liver enzymes, requiring series of bloodwork, xrays, ultrasound, FNA, cancer, addison's disease, Leptospirosis, ultimately biopsy to reveal "Lobular Dissecting Hepatitis"

Snow is a true "Gentle Giant", weighing at 84lbs, and a broad muscular structure, he is the gentlest dog around people, especially babies. He loves humans/dogs more than toys. He is the center of every party we host. If it's a birthday, he goes crazy when he hears birthday song. He never barked at us or any visitor, or never showed anger even if someone troubled him. He loves his life & family.

As parents, we have already invested over $25,000 in Snow's treatment, without insurance coverage. Given the rarity of LDH and the scarcity of clinical trials, we are dedicated to do whatever it takes to save Snow and help other pet parents experiencing this situation.
