Soco is a 13-year-old Rottweiler Mix in Pittsburgh, PA, who needs $2,000 for Amputation.

SoCo came in to My life through my partner 3 years ago. He has had SoCo for 13 years. SoCo has been there through everything a grown man needs his dogs love for. Chris also shared with me, other than blood, theirs is the longest relationship he’s ever had. SoCo is an old man with determination and a lot more love he wants to give.

SoCo like any older man is kinda set into his routine. He likes the things he likes and makes his own schedule. He makes sure to go to the office with Daddy and he “works” (sleeps) right at the foot and of the desk. He gets excited when there are other people around or food to he had. Especially food.

SoCo is a smiler. He comes running up snorting with a big smile of his face that newcomers who are unfamiliar with him are afraid of for a moment because they think it’s a snarl. SoCo also is not a fan of anyone wanting to smoke a cigarette. He instantly starts cherruffing and throws himself against you to tell you to pet the dog instead of smoke that cig.

Last year SoCo developed a tumor with a blood supply on his rear paw. The vet laid out 2 options: debulk or amputation. Sparing an older dog amputation surgery we went the other route. All seemed to go well and a year passed when the problem was back with a vengeance. The vet gave a new estimate for amputation and it’s a bit out of reach right now.

Both Dads were laid off from jobs from Covid in 2020 and have been working contract jobs mainly. I started a new full time job may 9 and am waiting for first pay period for a check. Bills mounting and our baby is in need. Humbly we need some help.
