Sofia I rescued about 13 years ago fr am elderly woman who couldn’t take care of her and was going to have her euthanized instead of rehoused her - I saw her ad 3 times and asked for her all 3 times but 2 times someone was on the way to get her - the 3rd time was the charm and I knew she’d be a forever pet for us . I’ve rescued and rehoused another dog b4 but Sofia special to me

Sofia is funny and silly - she loves to run and play and lay in the sun and dig holes and run after squirrels she’s just a comfort to anyone she sees sad and we’ve been blessed to have found her

She eats her food in circles and can’t howl so she does her own lil song when her lil bro howls - she’s loyal and protective and will put herself first to save you

We just found out a growth she has could be cancerous and the cost is more than we can handle
She’s got a ball the size of a baseball on her left shoulder that when we had checked was told not to worry about it cause it’s not attached to anything and was fatty - the ball has burst and is infected now and when I brought her to an emergency vet they say it’s cancerous and needs to be removed

I’ve lost my job due to health issues and had to move in with family to survive- my husbands sick as well and I’m and out of the hospital so financially we’re really struggling - I just want my dog who’s like my daughter yo be healthy and cancer free
