about 2 years ago this puppy came to my door. I had been saying now that I'm retired i want a dog but i have allergies so had to bee a hypoallergenic dog and this matless showed up at my door so it was jut meant to be. Nobody claimed her so i ended up keeping her and name her Solita - which means alone since she came to my door all by herself.

Saturday Solita ran out front door down the street and got hit by a car. Driver didn't even stop. I took her to VCC in Midlothian VA and was told she has fracture on pelvic bone and leg knee fracture - sent me home with pain meds. Mon spoke w James River Vet they where able to pull records from hos and doc said pelvic will heal on its own but leg has femur fracture and need surgery for $5700

This puppy is my baby, takes care of me and is my companion. im single and retired and live alone and she is my company. she has even traveled with me, wakes me when i have nightmares and takes care of my backyard chickens too. i just got another puppy from a friend who accidently had pups so she can have a companion and just last week took the puppy for shots and where all happy and now this.

retired/ fixed low income. i cant even qualify for more on the care card- only a little more then need for the hos visit. clinics are offering to amputate but i really don' want to do that to her when she can get well with the surgery if i can come up with the funds needed.
