About this campaign

While my Boyfriend was in high school, his family picked up a female stray. One of her many cuddly kittens was Solo. Solo was there with my boyfriend through his darkest days. My boyfriend is more of a dog person, unless it comes to Solo. Unlike me, his mother, I am a cat person. And Solo knew this, when I first came over, I was told he darts from new people. Not with mama.

He’s a big lover. He will start to purr if you look at him. He quite literally confuses people with doggy behavior since he will roll over for belly rubs. He prefers to be around people other than other animals. He must have his eyes on those he loves. That’s if he isn’t able to sit on your lap. He’s recently shared that he likes to be held like a baby.

My favorite thing to say about Solo is, he’s a dog in a cat body. Have you ever met a cat that LOVES belly rubs? He will quite literally purr so hard he begins to squeak. I call him my little squeaky toy. He likes to monitor my every movement, following here and there around the house. If my best friend comes over, he comes hangs with the girls in the room while the boys sit in the Living room.

On one day, Solo showed signs of discomfort. My boyfriend and I thought it was constipation at first. The next morning, he was showing clear distress and straining to go. We took him in to find out he has a blockage in his urethra. Once they unblocked him and we were coming to take him home, the catheter got stuck, and he got yet another blockage. This was majorly unexpected and highly costly. My boyfriend pulled his stocks to pay for half of it. But we are unsure how to go about paying for the rest alongside our monthly bills and expanses.
