Saved from Euthanasia: Needs Help After Emergency FHO Surgery
​An elderly couple, heartbroken because they were unable to afford the expensive surgery or physical demands of his care and thought they'd euthanize him. But my sister and I took ownership of Sonny, but he is in for a bit of a recovery period and has been resting at my sister's as she is in cancer treatment recovery herself.

Sonny couldn't walk on that back leg and was in constant pain from his rear hip. The couple thinks someone kicked him, but no matter what, the surgery was needed to relieve his chronic suffering. His surgery was skillfully completed at Crab Orchard Small Animal Clinic in WV by Dr. Ward DVM. He is still recovering but doing ok.

Sonny is a very sweet boy who loves to be loved! We couldn't bear the thought of him being put down. How could anyone think of it when you see the sweet soul in his eyes?

We are both low income and my sister is currently recovering from a double mastectomy caused by breast cancer. Thankfully she is better and plans on giving Sonny his permanent home. He's the only dog in the house so he's sure to get spoiled with a life he deserves!!!!
