Sonny is a 2 year old American Staffordshire Terrier in Ponte Vedra Beach, FL, who needs $3,800 for ACL Surgery.

Sonny come to us when he was rescued from a person who was making him fight his sister and mother for food. He was severely malnourished. We thought he was three months old at the time but the vet guessed his age at 6 months and his growth was stunted due to the malnutrition. I intended to only keep him to get him healthy but he weaseled his way into my heart.

Sonny tore his ACL. The vet said it was not a traumatic injury. He dis say if untreated he could tear the other one though. Sonny will be getting his surgery at Veterinary orthopedic and mobile center of St Augustine.

Sonny is a goofy boy. He is the most affectionate love bug. He is best friends with my cats but doesn't really care for other dogs. He loves hunting lizards. Since he came to live with me he either laid behind me or in my lap so he still thinks he's a lap dog at 50lbs. He loves blankies and kisses. All Sonny wants is to be loved.

I am on disability retirement from a work injury so my income is super limited. I will never let my dog suffer. I will use care credit to do the surgery a.s.a.p. but hope I can get some financial assistance.
