Sookie is a 14 year old Shih Tzu in Jacksonville , FL, who needs $1,500 for Cushings Disease and Diabetes Testing and Meds.

Sookie is 14 years old and is my little shadow. She has been with me since she was a puppy. She adores my grandchildren and has helped me care for them for years. She treats them as if they were her own. Gently plays with them while always watching over them. She gets so excited every time they walk through the door, and gets overly excited when we get close to their house while driving there.

Sookie was diagnosed with both diabetes and Cushings disease. She requires ongoing meds, syringes, curve testing and specialized diabetic dog food. The cost is too high for me to manage alone. Her vet is St John’s Affordable Vet in Saint Johns Florida.

Sookie loves our family. Especially the grandchildren! She has worked beside me caring for them for years. She’s so gentle and loving. She lets the kids do anything to her from playing Doctor, to allowing them to dress her up. She loves to ride in the car, and really loves to travel to new places.

I’m disabled, on a very fixed income. I’ve maxed out my credit cards, as well as my Care Credit account caring for her. Any help at all, whether it’s leftover supplies, food, or money toward her medical care is so greatly appreciated.
