Sophie is a 7-year-old Pitbull in Albion, PA, who needs $1,420 for surgery to remove a mass in the abdomen.

Sophie was a rescue from a bad situation! She was 7 weeks old when we brought her home! She attached to my dad and has been his best friend since!! She currently lives with my dad!! They do everything together!! Including playing the computer, watching TV, & going for rides on my dads electric scooter! She lives in the country and loves to run out side and play with the kids!

Sophie is protective of “her home and people” Once she gets to know you, she loves your attention!!! She loves kids!!! She loves to cuddle with them, chase them around the yard and go on long walks through the woods!!! Sophie is a happy girl who’s loved by soo many people! She wags her tail and lifts her nose just when you say her name!! Sophie knows she is loved!

My dad is on a fixed income and has very little saved after paying for the first surgery. It would mean the world to all of us to have Sophie healthy again!! My dad would be happy and then we can focus on his health!!

Recently Sophie began to throw up her food, drank lots of water but would throw that up too! She lost weight despite multiple diet changes! We had her seen at the vet who said, she has an infection in her uterus and needs a hysterectomy. After surgery, she continued to Vomit her food & lost more weight! We took her to Western Reserve Animal Hospital and they determined she has a mass in her abd.

Sophie is special in a sense because she is my dads best friend!! She keeps him happy! She keeps him company and she loves him unconditionally!!! She brings joy to our faces by her wagging tail as we pet her, or even say her name! She leaps around the yard with kids, playing fetch, playing “basketball “ with the kids!
