Sophie is a 2-month-old Mastiff Mix in Sicklerville, NJ, who needs $2,000 for Pneumonia.

At approximately 11:00pm on 12/29/23 we intervened to assist with a puppy who was living in substandard conditions and near death. She needed immediate medical attention. Had we not intervened, she would have surely passed away that evening. We immediately admitted her to a 24 hour veterinary hospital. We have named her Sophie, and she is now in our care.

We have only had Sophie for less than 3 weeks. Of those 3 weeks she has spent a week in veterinary hospitals. While she has been home with us she has ben receiving around the clock care. She has met our 3 moms, yorkie, and 2 cats who have welcomed her with open paws.

Sophie is special because she has beat the odds by being the runt of 14 siblings and being born into substandard care and conditions. She has beat the odds 3 times now. Once by being saves by us and twice by being saved by the veterinarian care.

She has been admitted to 2 separate veterinary hospitals for anemia and pneumonia. Red Bank Veterinary Hospital in Mount laurel, NJ and Mount laurel Animal Hospital in Mount Laurel, NJ. She was finally strong enough to come home and is now in our care. There was no time to request assistance for medical expenses which have been astronomical.

This will be an uphill road for Sophie and we are doing everything we can to give her an amazing life. Our first priority was to save her life which we have already done twice. Now we will find out if there are any longterm issues that she will need care for.
