Sophie is a 4-year-old Husky, Boxer, Bulldog, Shepherd in Tallahassee, FL, who needs $1,800 for replace flexor.

Sophie is a 4YO mix breed that has been in my care since she was 8wks old. I purchased her from a third party (Facebook) and was told she was a terrier/ lab mix. When she was old enough, I had her spayed and blood tested for DNA. Sophie is a sweet, fun, energetic dog that loves to be the center of attention! She’s the only living being in my household and she has everything she wants/ needs.

As stated, I’m the only person in my household. I’m the primary caregiver for my mother whom lives approx. 1.5hrs from me and Sophie and my mom love each other dearly. Sophie is a protector of young children (friends kids), she loves attention when we go in a pet store of even if we are just taking a ride around town.

This is a sudden expense that I have not pocketed for. Last year I purchased a townhome, I’m paying companies (Cove Security, Lowe’s, Ring, etc.) on top of an increased property tax, my bills and helping out with my moms bills due to her illness/ multiple surgeries.

We have seen three vets including her primary. We were told it was arthritis/ hip dysplasia, then osteoarthritis and tendonitis, and most recently superficial digital flexor medial rentinaculum rupture. According to the vet report, she can live without surgery but she will continue to be in agony/ pain. Sophie whines and whimpers all day/ night due to her discomfort. Suggested that she has surgery

Sophie is an Emotional Support Animal. She loves to roll around in the grass out back, pass gas when she doesn’t get her way, or bring me her toys/ blanket and not let them go to be thrown. She is my happiness outside of my mother! I helped her surpass her separation anxiety and now she has no problem when I leave her be.
