About this campaign
Sopita came into my daughter’s life when she was in preschool as a puppy by her grandma before she passed away. She was named after the Mexican rice Sopita because she was so tiny. She has been a part of our family for 11 years. She is love of my daughter’s life. Her first pet ! It breaks her heart to see her baby not being able to walk or jump.
She loves to sleep in her play pen she has a huge fluffy bed and her toys in there. When she is not sleeping in there she will follow you around the house and loves to be outdoors in the yard under supervision at all times. She loves her family members and now my daughters friends when they come over to give her cuddles.
Sopita is special in many many ways she has this weird behavior that even the vet can’t figure out. When I have my bracelet on she starts chewing on it when she gets nervous. She loves her bones and any toy she gets she loves to fling it in the air. She’s gentle when getting treats from your hand and loves to curl up near you and kisses you when you’re sad
Sopita showed struggle of walking up the stairs so we started carrying her. A Tuesday night we bathed her and dried her up. She was in the livingroom when we noticed she started favoring one leg. The next day I took her to the er and they said she has luxation of the patella grade 4 on L leg and 3 on R leg and there is nothing I can do but surgery
My husband sells cars and is only on commission & I am a teacher with limited means when all funds are on me. Trying to catch up on bills and the cost of living going I am unable to afford a 6k surgery. It would mean the world to see her be able to run & jump again
