Soren is a 11-year-old Maine Coon mix in Bremen, GA, who needs $2,000 for TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation).

Soren was adopted from a local animal shelter when he was a kitten. He currently resides with 6 other cats and tolerates them well! He insists on drinking water from the tap, even though I have a water fountain that everyone else uses!! He walks on a leash and, when I pick up his harness, comes running because he knows he gets to go outside!

Soren is a very chill cat. He gets along great with everyone (human and cat). When we had our dog, Soren and Buddy would share a pet bed! We have introduced six new cats since he was adopted and he has had no problem with the new additions. He's not a very affectionate cat so when he does come sit on your lap, its a special occasion!

I would like Soren to have the TECA (Total Ear Canal Ablation) so he can be pain free. He has already lost his hearing so that's not an issue. Him being pain free is the main objective! I can tell when he is in pain and it hurts my heart.

Soren has been fighting a chronic ear infection in his left for over two years. He has had multiple visits to our local vet as well as several visits to the Auburn University Small Animal College. No one understands why he continually gets (more like keeps) the infection. He has been on numerous rounds of medications. He cannot hear and I know he is in pain. Vet has recommended a TECA.

When he was younger, he would dress as Cat in the Hat and visit the children at the local library. He would also visit the local elementary school on "Dr. Seuss" reading night as Cat in the Hat. He would sit in the middle of the hallway, with a lot of people petting him and he was fine with all the attention. He would also "give" the kids their choice of a Dr. Seuss pencil, eraser or bookmark!
