Sox is a 2 year old American Shorthair in Urbandale, IA, who needs $2,000 for Lung Surgery.

Sox was brought to us by someone we know that couldn't take him with during a move. We then had him evaluated in oregon before moving to Iowa. He is a grey shorthair with a lot of life to live.

Sox has fluid in his lungs. He is basically drowning from the inside. We had him evaluated in oregon prior to moving to iowa, and needs surgery to have the fluid removed from his lungs.

Sox is in a cat family of four. He wants to be the alpha cat so he picks on the other cats to prove his dominance, however made friends with one of the three other cats. We believe his behavior will somewhat be normal once hes out of pain and can truly breathe again.

We were estimated $1500 out in oregon for the surgery. we believe it will be around 1500-2000 out here in iowa. We are living paycheck to paycheck and my wife and I are getting close to wanting to surrender Sox to the shelter so he can truly get the help he needs.
