About this campaign
Sparky was given to our family by a retired couple that raised beagles for hunting. Sparky had an immediate connection to his new family and older dog brother ( a boxador named Buster). Sparky has a special purpose as an emotional support companion to two children after the death of their father. Sparky brought laughter back into our household.
Sparky is a household friend to everyone he meets. He loves to sniff everything around him. He is a curious little guy. He spends most of his time with his human child whom he gets lots of snuggles. He likes to chase balls with his dog brother. He loves doggy treats and baths. He is absolutely amazing with children.
Sparky is an attention getter, because most people take a double take when they realize he has three legs. He also likes to put his nose all the way up against a human's face to get a good smell of them. He likes to investigate every square inch of the house. He also has a little blanket in his bed that he'll spend a lot of time getting situated perfectly before a nap.
In June of 2022 Sparky was shot in the rear left leg. Upon discovering he had been shot, he was rushed to emergency vet care. The doctor tried to save his leg but Sparky had to have an amputation. After healing several weeks he was doing much better. August 30th 2022 He was attacked by an unknown animal nearby a wooded area. I am a single divorced widow raising children and trying to continue my education at the university. As a full-time student I do not have the extra money to pay for Sparky's emergency care.
