I have never lived without a dog. I had two dogs Marshall and Lilly both rescues. Lilly passed and Marshall was alone. I also missed Lilly. I tried to rescue another dog but was rejected because I did not have an enclosed back yard. My dogs have always been 20 pounds or less. I saw an advert. Spencer has big brown eyes. In January 2025 out of the blue I noticed a cataract in his left eye. It was not there before. I took him immediately to the vet. She verified indeed it was a cataract and that he was blind in the eye. She tested him for diabetes that was negative. I took him to the ophthalmologist. She said it was genetic and that he would most likely be blind in both eyes.
