About this campaign

I met Spike almost 5 years ago outside of the apartment complex I was renting from at the time. He was crouched against the wall of the building, and as soon as our eyes met he began meowing. I knew from the way he was crying that he needed help, so I walked right over to him and picked him up! We have been together ever since.

He was diagnosed with a Urinary Blockage. This is a very common, but life threatening situation for cats. Killing them in 48-36 hours if the blockage is not removed. Before the block he was a perfectly healthy and happy cat - he had even caught a mouse the night before! I broght him straight to Hickory Veterinary Hospital when I saw his condition rapidly decline.

Spike is the most friendly and chill cat I have ever met. I like to say he might be 50% dog because dogs, and people alike he gets along with great! He loves sunbathing and watching bird the YouTube videos that I put on for him (he even knocked my tv over one time chasing the video birds). Any unprotected lap is his for the taking .. he will sit on anyone and everyone!

Just about the same time I rescued Spike from the great outdoors I also rescued an elderly dog Brandy who was 13 years old when I found her. I quickly piled up a lot of debt helping her with her vet needs. Since Brandy passed last year I have still been clearing the balance.
