Spirit is a 9-year-old Cocker Spaniel in Lancaster, CA, who needs $3,700 for emergency ear canal surgery.

I adopted and rescued spirit in 2013 after I lost my other cocker spaniel. Spirit and I bonded fast. When I rescued spirit from the shelter I was told he was a owner surrender because he was aggressive but it was a lie. I found out spirit was a used by previous owner. I took care of spirit, he was a service dog for me he was trained as a seizure alert dog. I’ve always taken care of his medical problems which were always minor . spirit and I have been in road trips, played ball at the park, and we even went to Mexico to get his adopted sister Faith as seen in some of the pictures. When I got faith she was 2 weeks old and spirit has grown with faith and they have a bond that is inseparable. I want to live out spirits life to the fullest. Spirit lost his hearing about a year and a half ago and he also has hip dysplasia and a bad right leg which makes it hard for him to get up on his own and walk. And I feel that our bond where he’s helped me while I’ve had seizures now it’s my turn to help him and be his caregiver.
