Splinter is a 7-year-old Mixed in Ashland, OR, who needs $2,000 for ACL Surgery.

7 yrs ago, I found this sweet little puppy in a Texas kill shelter. I fell in love with him and took him home immediately. It took some time getting him used to me. He was a little terror that ate my socks 😂 He is the best decision I’ve ever made. We have traveled more than half America together now. He loves the ocean unless the tide is chasing him.

He’s the best dog in the whole world. He tells me when he’s hungry, when he needs to go out and even when I need to go to bed 😂. He’s my best friend in the whole wide world.

Many people comment that Splinter has human eyes. I think it’s because he is the smartest, sweetest dog I’ve ever known. He has the biggest personality too! There’s no denying he’s quite the character!

I am broken-hearted to say that, after long conversations with both the vet and a veterinary orthopedic surgeon, they have concluded it’s very important Splinter has surgery as soon as possible. They do not accept payment plans and the surgery costs $4,000. The vet says if he doesn’t have it, he will get terrible arthritis pain and possibly harm his other back leg from over compensating.

The Vet says if he has this surgery he expects a 100% recovery. I’ve never asked for anything before and this is not easy for me to do but I really need help for Splinter. And I would do anything for him.
