About this campaign

Squiddie was found in a neighborhood with his brother, Reek. They were around 5 months old and my partner and I nursed them back to health. I spent endless nights awake with them both, making sure they were eating and warm. There was no question that they were going to stay with us forever.

Squiddie is more dog than cat. He has a personality like gold, I’d never trade it for the world. Every morning when I go to open the curtains, he races me to the top of his cat tower where he will hang upside down and wait for belly rubs. He loves to run on his cat wheel, jump off walls, have zoomies, and then plop down in your arms or anywhere he can to cuddle with you. He loves all animals.

When I get home from work, Squiddie stands on his back legs and taps the back of my legs or hip, meaning he wants to be picked up. I carry him around and talk to him, he’ll meow and purr. At night, our routine is that he is always at the foot of the bed with us.

Squiddie has a sudden urinary blockage. I’m on top of my cats’ health, we even have everyone on urinary food as a preventative because this is my worst fear, and yet he suddenly blocked October 2nd at night. He’s lethargic, crying, lateral, and vomiting. Blissfield Veterinary Hospital is working on a 2-3 day outpatient plan with us, until Friday.

My partner and I are both 23, rent, have school loans, car payments, etc and we are strapped paycheck to paycheck. My partner is a school teacher in Ann Arbor, and I work for the city of Ann Arbor seasonally. All of my money goes to hills and care for my animals.
