About this campaign
Our cat Squimp is a very special kitty. We found him when he was just a baby and he had pan leukemia. After being in the hospital at a very young age (and almost dying) he finally recovered but as a result does not have full control of the back half of his body. He can walk but only with his front half and he’s not able to jump with his back legs.
Squimp quickly attached himself to our youngest son Ayden. And no matter what if Ayden says his name he comes running, even sound asleep he rushes to him for loving. (He just stares at me when I call him half the time haha) They are best buddies and do everything together. They share the same bed every night. My son has had 7 major surgeries and Squimp has been there while he recovers.
I have a brain/neck tumor and am not able to work, our house recently sustained considerable damage from hurricane, we have 6 kids and 6 pets and Squimps bills are already several thousand dollars And now will have to travel hours away to try to save him. Please help us
He is currently in the hospital at Alexandria Medical Clinic in Alexandria La being treated by Dr Putnam. They have done all they can and want to sent us to LSU in Baton Rouge to see a specialist. He’s constantly throwing up and diarrhea and even on iv fluids and lots of medicines. He is still losing weight and nothing is working. This has been going on for months and he’s seen several Vets .
When Squimp tries to run it is so cute... the front legs take off and the back half just flips and sways side to side and it reminds me of Randal from Monsters Inc slithering around a corner. He doesn’t let his disability slow him down and he thinks he can do everything a regular cat can. He can't jump with his back legs so he's learned to jump using his front ones and pull him up. He’s amazing!
