About this campaign

I rescued Squish at 4 weeks old. She's a rambunctious, curious, and sassy kitten. I've had her for 4 months now, and I can't bear to put her down. Her name was an accident, she was so tiny when I got her that "Squish ball" came out and stuck. There are 3 dogs in the house as well, a Yorkie, Boston, and bulldog.

She loves to play with the dogs and me. Until last night, there has never been an incident. The Yorkie tolerates her, the Boston is enamored with her, and the bulldog is overly gentle with her. She is curious about my leopard gecko, but they have not met. We are working on harness training so I can take her hiking this summer!

She loves to sit on my shoulder like a parrot, knock my plants off of the window sill, bark like a dog, and drink out of the dog bowl instead of the cat bowl. If the door is open too far, she will dart out into the hall to scratch the carpet like a nut. We're still getting to know each other, so there isn't much to put here.

I got home and the cat was nowhere to be found. I put Chloe away, and the cat came out, blinking, squinting, and sneezing blood. I wiped her off and took her to the emergency vet, who informed me she was stable but likely had a broken jaw. The regular vet confirmed this, and surgeon quoted me $4250-6250, which I definitely don't have. My other "option" is putting her down and that's not an option.

I am going through a financially turbulent divorce, filed for bankruptcy, and am disabled making 17/hr. My parents are broke because of family emergencies, and I've contacted all the friends and family I can think of. She means the world to me, I can't watch my baby die.
